Every library at this address is meant to work with a keyboard, a screen reader or a phone held sideways. This page says what is built in across all three, where they differ, what falls short for now, and how to ask for an alternative format.
What is built in everywhere
Every page in every library has one heading structure with a single top-level heading, a skip link to the content and a visible focus outline. Diagrams are drawn into the page rather than loaded as images, and each carries a caption and an accessible name. Animation respects your reduced-motion setting: with it on, both the interface transitions and the animations inside diagrams stop. The revision tools, the flashcards, the checklist and the question practice can all be worked from the keyboard, and every question can be answered on paper and self-marked without the on-screen sketch box.
Where the libraries differ
Physics and Maths provide visual, MathML and plain-text versions of equations. Biology also includes quantitative formulae, but it does not yet provide the same three-part equation output throughout. This is a known accessibility limitation.
On all three subjects’ pages, a figure can be enlarged into a dialog that a keyboard can open, close with Escape and return from.
All three libraries offer the same optional account for syncing progress. Physics and Maths also have Android apps; Biology is currently browser-only.
Known limitations
Physics and biology workbooks and all printable card packs include document tags, a title, language metadata and a defined reading order. Physics workbooks have been checked manually with a screen reader; equivalent checks for the remaining PDFs are pending. Maths workbooks and printable card packs include document tags and reading order. They have not yet completed an end-to-end human screen-reader review. The same questions and cards are also available as HTML. Nobody has audited these libraries against WCAG to a published conformance level, so there is no badge on this page and there will not be one until there is something real behind it.
If a page, a figure or a download does not work with your setup, that is a defect rather than a policy, and we would like to know.
Another format, or a problem
Write to support@inklearning.co.uk and say which page and what you need. Reports of anything unusable with a screen reader, keyboard or switch device get fixed with the same priority as a wrong answer.
