What each paper asks
9FM0/01
Core Pure Mathematics 1. Any topic from the Core Pure content: proof, complex numbers, matrices, further algebra and functions, further calculus, further vectors, polar coordinates, hyperbolic functions and differential equations.
9FM0/02
Core Pure Mathematics 2. The same Core Pure content as Paper 1; Pearson does not divide it between the two papers.
9FM0/3A to 9FM0/3D
Optional paper, one of 3A to 3D. One of Further Pure Mathematics 1, Further Statistics 1, Further Mechanics 1 or Decision Mathematics 1.
9FM0/4A to 9FM0/4D
Optional paper, one of 4A to 4D. One of Further Pure Mathematics 2, Further Statistics 2, Further Mechanics 2 or Decision Mathematics 2, subject to the pairing rule.

Which series exist
Seven series, read from Pearson’s course materials for Mathematics (9MA0 and 9FM0) on 31 August 2026: June 2019 · October 2020 · November 2021 · June 2022 · June 2023 · June 2024 · June 2025.
No summer series was sat in 2020 and 2021. The examinations for those years were held in October 2020 and November 2021 instead, so two years look missing from the list above and neither is.
