Integrating rational functions questions

A quotient of polynomials rarely integrates directly, but algebra can usually reshape it. Partial fractions split it into pieces that each integrate to a logarithm, while some denominators conceal a reversed chain rule or a plain negative power instead, and identifying which case applies is the skill being tested.
