Answer and mark each question

2,025 questions worth 6,063 marks: original questions written for this library; none is taken from a past paper. Write your answer on paper before opening the mark scheme.

Award one mark for each listed point and record the score.

How questions are rescheduled

Questions come back by topic. The marks you award set the gap before the topic comes back. Full marks widen it, half marks keep it, and fewer bring it back sooner.

No marks cuts the gap to about a fifth. The longest gap is about six months. Answers from one topic on the same day count as the lowest of them. A question you missed is not set again while its topic has others you have not tried.

Quick checks

A quick check brings back a question you got right before. Do not write it all out: plan how you would answer it, the method and the key steps, then open the mark scheme and say whether your plan would have got the marks.

Got it, Partly and Missed it count as full, half and no marks. A quick check takes about a quarter of the time of a full answer.

Build a practice set

The first button starts up to 15 questions, or 10 from one unit or topic: questions you have not answered, one topic at a time with your weakest topics first, then one for each topic that is due. Filter by unit, topic, demand or response type.

Timed sets contain 25, 50 or 85 marks and keep the mark schemes closed until the timer stops. Every question you mark counts towards its schedule, here or on Today.

Exam-board filters

Only questions in your course are included: your exam board and optional unit decide which.

Change them under Your plan on Today to bring the others back.

All 2,025 questions from the workbooks, one at a time, with the mark scheme a tap away. Write your answer on paper before opening the mark scheme. Award one mark for each listed point and record the score; the score sets when its topic comes back, with a question you have not tried or a quick check.

Which option unit do you sit?

“My course” in the set builder means the core units plus whichever option unit you sit. Tick yours here; with nothing ticked it means the core units, so a set never hands you an option you do not sit.

Choose a topic: all 100 topics with questions, grouped into 19 units with a search field over them. Each one opens its questions in full, with a mark scheme under every question.

A timed set draws questions from whatever you have selected, orders them easiest first and puts about a minute and a half a mark on the clock, which is roughly the rate the written papers run at. The mark scheme stays shut until you finish, then you mark each answer against it.

A timed set is text-only practice, not a simulation of a real paper. Every question in this bank is written prose: there is no diagram, circuit, apparatus drawing, table or graph to read, so a set drills calculation and written explanation and leaves out the diagram-reading, apparatus work and plotted-data analysis that real papers carry. Practise those from the boards’ own papers, linked from the past papers page.

Progress lives in this browser, on this device, unless you sign in. 2,025 questions worth 6,063 marks, every one original InkPhysics material rather than past-paper text. Prefer paper? The same questions are in the printable workbooks, with the answers in a separate book.
